Warranty | Stainless Steel and Chrome: three year structural and two year cosmetic Painted: two year structural and one year cosmetic The warranty period commences from the date of invoice and is subject to the wheels being maintained as per our Wheel Care advice and in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions. Please retain the warranty tag supplied with each wheel as it contains the information required to identify the wheel in the event of a claim. Please note: MWS warranty automatically becomes void if the wheels have been: subject to re-work or change; fitted with tyres other than the manufacturers recommended fitment; or used for track events.
Splined Hubs | |||
Option 1 | When converting a XK120 from steel wheels to wire wheels check whether ENV or Salisbury axles are fitted. Please note that if converting from steel wheels the spare wheel compartment might need to be modified. If the car is on wire wheels then the XW456 should fit but wider options may be a problem. If a XK120 or XK140 has been converted to disc brakes (front), use XK150 splined hubs (XK150 was the only model factory-fitted with discs). Click here for a guide to fitting hubs, caps and centre-lock wire wheels
Option 2 | XK120 ENV Axle: RSK069-PLATED or RSK069-BLACK - Front Left RSK068-PLATED or RSK068-BLACK - Front Right Integral fitting hubs so no nuts necessary You will need to change the original front brake drums to wire wheel brake drums (steel wheel brake drums have a 5" PCD whereas the wire wheel hub has a 4¾" PCD). These front hubs are supplied with studs and washers fitted - spare studs and washers are available from stock. RSK227 - Rear Left RSK228 - Rear Right The existing rear brake drums and shafts are one unit. The bolt-on hubs will fit on to the rear drums using the original nuts. Bolt-on splines, unless fitted as original equipment, will increase the track by up to 1.25" per wheel Studs will require shortening, click here for a diagram
Option 3 | XK120 & XK140 Salisbury Axle: RSK069-PLATED or RSK069-BLACK - Front Left RSK068-PLATED or RSK068-BLACK - Front Right RSK071-PLATED or RSK071-BLACK - Rear Left RSK070-PLATED or RSK070-BLACK - Rear Right Integral fitting hubs so no nuts necessary You will need to change the front and rear brake drums to wire wheel brake drums. These hubs are supplied with studs and washers fitted - spare studs and washers are available from stock.
Option 4 | XK150 & XK150S: RSK073-PLATED or RSK073-BLACK - Front Left RSK072-PLATED or RSK072-BLACK - Front Right RSK075-PLATED or RSK075-BLACK - Rear Left RSK074-PLATED or RSK074-BLACK - Rear Right Integral fitting hubs so no nuts necessary |

Notes | We recommend using our 52mm wooden spinner saver to protect the knock-on caps (spinners) when using a copper and hide hammer. If fitting our XW5721 or XW5738 wheels then due to the positioning of the centre in relation to the rim we recommend using our deep 52mm wooden spinner saver to protect the knock-on caps (spinners) when using a copper and hide hammer. Click here for advice on how tight to apply spinners. |

Extra Information | |||
Other comments | When fitting wire wheels on XK120, XK140 and XK150, the rear spats have to be removed. Always check the history of the vehicle to ensure that there have been no modifications to the running gear. Hubs/splines, spinners and nuts remain the same, unless noted otherwise, regardless of which wheel is fitted. We also stock wire wheel maintenance accessories such as our Cleaning Kit (Refills available), Cleaning Brush, Degreaser and Tyre Foam.
