MWS hubs are Cathodic Electro Coated (CEC), a process similar to plating, but using paint rather than metal. In contrast to some conventional painting methods it offers a thin coating that is very even and durable.
The main advantage of CEC is the rust protection. As shown in our test results normal metal plating methods offer very little rust protection, generally not withstanding 24 hours of salt spray. Although the hub is not visible from the outside of the car, rust protection is always a positive to keep the car in its prime condition, particularly if it is used through the winter months or in wet climates. MWS hubs can withstand over 840 hours salt spray without showing any signs of rust appearing. This is because, unlike plating, the coating is not porous and therefore offers improved rust protection.

Further information is available for: identifying hub sizes; measuring PCD; and fitting hubs, caps and centre-lock wire wheels.
The MWS range of hubs is listed below, but we will be adding further options.
