This coupé has our stainless steel XW459 wire wheels with 155/15 tyres fitted but did require 6mm to be removed from the inner lip to provide enough running clearance. This vehicle has Daimler SP250 front suspension and a 2.6 litre, straight six triple carb engine.
This vehicle would normally be fitted with our chrome XW480 wire wheels but the XW480 is not available in stainless steel so this non-standard option was fitted.
The Scimitar was originally designed by Ogle for Daimler but Reliant took up the design when Daimler decided they no longer wanted to produce hand-made cars. The Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne have owned several different Scimitars.
