Rolled-edge rims
|
MWS rolled-edge rims are cold-rolled to and beyond the original Dunlop specification. The cold-rolling process rearranges the crystal structure of the steel, through strain hardening, which can increase the strength of the metal by up to 20%. The increased stiffness of the rolled-edges enables the rim to better withstand sudden impacts and resist flexing.
MWS stocks a large selection of rims ranging from 17" to 21" in various widths; the rim profiles are:

A = Rim width
Motorcycle rims are traditionally measured across the outer edges of the rim; the 2.156" rim is equivalent to a 3" motorcycle rim. |
